LPG pigtail connector

I need to fit a new pigtail connecotr for the LPG in our van.  Although only a year old the thread is damaged and needs replacing.  I guess the young lad putting our cylinder in the new van last year had strong wrists and didn't notice the thread was faulty.
 My question please for someone out there - does the nut which connects to the gas regulator have a reverse thread?  I don't want to get caught out when I remove the pigtail and finding myslef tightening the nut rather than unscrewing it.  Thanks in advance.
