    We were there in July and advised to park up and take a walk to find a suitable pitch. Which we did

    We weren't given an option.  We were just told which pitch we were on.  As I said earlier, our stay was 5 years ago, so wardens will be different now.

    Write your comments here...As previously mentioned I literally could have posted your post as it was 5 years ago that we were last there and we were also allocated a pitch. As we were only staying for 2 nights and it was on the tarmac at the top of the site
    we decided to accept the situation. Probably the same wardens.

    We were not impressed with CH either, we were there in January 2015, site not busy so we had a pitch at the top of the site on the left flat bit, we moved a day later to the one on the corner which was more open and in the winter sun. We were not allocated
    a pitch but its not a place that I would visit again.

    We visit sites for the location when touring rather than the site itself. Different when we stay for 10 or 12 days on a site at Christmas or when I was working and occasionally wanted to chill out
