Gibraltar day trip can it be done with dogs?

Hi we are heading towards Portugal tomorrow from Marbella and really want to visit Gibraltar, has anyone done this with dogs, I can't find any information to say if they need the worming treatment to cross. Also any tips on a place to stay within walking
distance on the Spanish side for a motorhome?    Thanks
