Parking up a caravan in the South of France

We're touring for a few weeks in the summer but for one week we have an apartment in Menton in the South of France near the Italian border. We are in a Sprite Major 6TD and are looking for somewhere to park it for that week. The only municipal site in the
area is closed this summer and were not receptive to us leaving our van there! All long stay car parks seem to have a height limit of 1.90m, any ideas?
