Just looked in the panel above the microwave in Sterling Quartz SE caravan and found a connector with 2 wires, one white/orange and the other looks like black/dark blue or purple... does anyone know what its for?

it may be a connection for a solar panel....sounds like the one we had in our Bolero, which sat in a forward OH locker.

we had to fit the panel on the roof and a regulator (in the locker) which then connected to this 'plug' you describe.

the other end of the fitted cable fed into the back of the Sargent PSU (P14 from memory...) which then allowed the PSU to be set up for priority of charge between vehicle and leusure batteries.

i realise that this last bit wouldnt apply to you in a caravan but the cabling may be similar to ours....
