Pitch positioning

When arriving on site I am still being advised on how to position my motorhome by placing the offside rear corner against the marker peg on the pitch. This can lead to somtimes not having quite enough room to put up our drive away awning without straying
onto the grass seperator between pitches. I would like to think that there might be a little bit of leniency when it comes to positioning on site, but I do always try to comply unlike others I've seen who don't seem to care or couldn't give a damn amd these
don't seem to be approached by wardens - not that I ever have- but it makes me wonder why the ritual instruction giving upon arrival if it's not going to be enforced when on site. I brought this up with a club official at the NEC show in 2013 who told me that
new guidelines for pitching which related to maximum and minimum distances between outfits were going to replace existing guidelines and all wardens would be informed of these in due course. When I first joined the club back in the seventies your pitch was
your castle so to speak and as long as you didn't encroach on or too near to your neighbour all was well. It worked well enough then so why not now? Review the guidelines asap I say!
