Motorhome with dog in Italy

we are planning to go to the northern lakes of Italy for a couple of weeks from about 26th June in our motorhome and with our dog Elsie. We did France last year with no problems and lots of places to let her run and swim off the lead.

has anyone any experience of this in Italy. We are looking for sites close to good walking and lake/river areas where Elsie can be let off her lead.
