Damp problem

Hello,

We unfortunately are having to sell our 2012 sterling eccles 586 and took it to a dealer today. He has used a damp meter and states that it has a lot of damp and therefore would not buy it.

Am I naive to think that it should have no damp being so new? 

Any advice would be gratefully received.
