Plymouth to Santander early January 2013

I am planning a trip to Spain early January 2013.

Has anybody any suggestions of caravan sites near Plymouth and also sites near Santander as I think the boat docks a 5.30 pm at Santander and I assume it will be dark by then, so I will not want to travel far?
