Is it worth it?

While on holiday in last week Oh and I were walking along the seafront and got chatting to another couple. The lady remarked that the floppy hat worn by the OH was not protecting her face from the strong sun. She went on to say that her hat was a Tilley hat (I thought she said silly] and it gave full protection from Uv rays and it is guaranteed for life. Later that day we found a shop that sold Tilley hats and were shocked to find they cost upwards of £65.
Needless to say we did not buy one.
