Ian, 'slightly obsessive' is a contradiction in terms. I said pedantic by the way-not obsessive. Have you seen CP with pictures? He looks for the perfect pic constantly. . . .& laughs at Himself for itHappy

There are lots of variations and different degrees of obsessiveness / pedantic behaviour.

I saw an interview with him and he's learned to live with his condition and is willing to laugh at himself......which is good.

He explained how his reaction when he was young, when one of his pets died, was far in excess of what might be considered 'normal' and this was one aspect of his condition.

Asperger's is on the Autism spectrum and an often misunderstood condition......worth reading about if you get the chance, Rocky.

(I'm discussing, not arguing with you Smile)

I heard an interview with him on the radio a couple of weeks ago. He was very honest about his aspergers as he wants people to understand it. He has done so well in spite of, or maybe because, of it. I really admire him.

Ian, I have come across it in the past due to a near neighbours child. I'd skirted a few papers(online) on the subject & was shocked at the amount of folk with the condition there are. The high profile ones like CP 'coming out' can only be a good thingHappy

(Ian, I didn't think you were arguingSmile)

I spoke to the cameraman who was filming the Nightingales just outside the reserve carpark and he related the story of the adder but also said the adder had left without getting any of the chicks, that was about 1030 am.  I did see the female but couldn't
get a shot as I didn't want to get in the way.  The parents were incredible trying to protect their offspring, fantastic

When we were at Minsmere on Thursday a lot of the cameras, cabling etc had already been packed up. I expect it was a biy chaotic yesterday as all the artics tried to leave as the lanes are single track for about 3 miles!  Hope that the BBC decide to use
    Minsmere in future years!

Chris Packham certainly wants to use Minsmere in the future.  He has said so many times.
