Swift Escape Creaking & Groaning
Our 2010 Swift Escape has developed very load creaking noises from the rear, most noticable when driving slowlyover speed humps. The local garage thinks its from the body rather than rear suspension. Anyone experienced anything similar that might direct
me to the cause?

On the basis of the opinion you've been given, plus the appalling state of our roads that seem to shake everything apart, I'd book an appointment with a franchised Swift dealer to make sure the body is still securely fastened to the chassis.
If it is, great, at least you then know it's a mechanical issue.

Yes, we had exactly the same thing on our Romahome R30.
It was caused ,as I suspected, by the rubber bushes on the rear spring hangers. A local garage stripped these down, cleaned and greased them and reassembled them. Cost £30 and perfectly quiet for a year now.

Thanks all for the advice. I suspect either ther spring hanger or shock absorber bushes and I am going to get therm looked at. I did get nearly a full turn on every chassis to floor retaining nut and have removed and greased the anti-roll bar bushes but
I will leave the suspension bolts to the people with a big hydraulic lift.0
