Any ideas for nice sites near Caen ferry port?

Hi. After our first trip to France last year, this year we are venturing to the South. Firstly any suggestions for decent sites near Caen? We will then head off down South stopping around Tours then Clermont Ferrand before hitting the Beziers area. We only
do about 200 miles Max per day with a car & caravan. We are in Fdance 5 weeks . Any suggestions for sites, places to visit from you experienced travellers are most welcome. We do have an Acsi card & some camping cheques. Thanks.
