Nice sites Narbonne Perpignan area

Hi. Last year after 'dipping our toes' in the water & going to the South of France, we loved Cape de Agde & Marsellian Plage areas as they were fab for easy cycling to beautiful promenades & marinas - we loved it. However, although the temptation is to go
back there, we feel we should try another area of the med coast. Does anyone have any suggestions for nice sites around Narbonne/Perpignan?  We are a car & caravan, travelling in June with 5 weeks away in total. We enjoy easy cycling, little towns & villages
to cycle to near a beach. Last year we stayed at Champs Blancs & Robinsons & loved both. Any ideas most welcome for relativley newbies to touring in France/abroad - hence we like sites with good access & easy to find! Thanks

Not been to the Narbonne area but can recommend Il de Re for cycling and villages and having been to Agde would put Re first,

Nic & co., you may find what you want down the coast beyond Narbonne and down to Perpignan, but you may not.

It's not a coast with pretty towns and villages until you get right down to Collioure and Banyuls almost on the Spanish border - and it's worth going on a bit further into Spain as well . But the main stretch of coast - Canet Plage is typical - is modern holiday development over the last 50 years,  interspersed with places you can't get to because of the railway, and some nature reserves on the lagoons. There's sun, there's sea and sand, there are lots of big modern, well equipped, high quality four star campsites on a long, plain, windswept coast - but not much appeal beyond that.

So I would say go and explore and see what you think.
