Convert to 13 pin plug

We are replacing our old caravan with a new Lunar Clubman which has the 13 pin plug. Our Ford Mondeo ( 2010) has the old 12N and S sockets. I have seen that Towsure have an adaptor for about £20 but wonder if anybody has had a similar car re wired to use
the new single socket. Is this a better solution, what would be the approx cost?
