South of France-Mid May.

We are travelling earlier than usual this year, leaving next weekend and planning to use the ACSI Card for the first time. I would be pleased if any member with experience of camp sites in the Cannes / Nice / Grasse  area during May could offer advice? How
busy are sites likely to be, is it necessary to book? We don't like booking, preferring to be flexible, however we don't want to be left without a campsite either! I have e@mailed a couple of sites with these questions but as yet have not had a reply. Maybe
there is a member lucky enough to be reading this in the South of France, what's it like down there at the moment?!
