Roll out canopy a bit useless

We have a roll out canopy (fiamma, I think) and, to be honest, find it pretty useless.

During the hot weather recently, we rolled it out but found that the sun simply shone underneath it, leaving a strip of shade less than a foot wide next to the caravan.

Not a lot of use, really.......
