Is it time for unisex toilet blocks?

We have just returned from a week at a CL in Yorkshire (Marfitt Head Farm) followed by 3 nights at Grafham Water Club Site.
On the CL the excellent toilet blocks (take a look CC and emulate!!) are unisex. So when it's cleaning time the owner can just close one block at a time and clean the other.
Arriving at Grafham Water the big sign on the toilet block doors says both male and fenale blocks are closed between 10:30 - 12:00 for cleaning.
Unisex blocks would do a way with having no facilities for 90 minutes a day and give 24*7 access'
This works well where I have seen it in operation mostly on the continent so the question is should we have unisex blocks here?
