Generators on CLs
We love CLs. We go to CLs for the peace and quiet - even though we have two small children and a dog we are a well behaved, respectable family. We just spent the bank holiday at a CL where a man was (according to the warden) living on the site after his
marriage broke up. He ran a generator from 8.30am to 10.00pm, apparently with permission. On the first night he was doing something in his caravan that was causing the very large generator to rev like a motorbike. My husband asked him at 9pm if he could
at least let it idle until our children were asleep and the man refused. We asked if he could put it behind his caravan rather than close to ours but he said no because of the fumes. He completely wrecked our stay. I am all for live and let live, but what
do other members think about this??? Am I expecting too much in wanting a level of peace and quiet on a site in rural Leicestershire?
