Rowntree Park - reduced awning pitches
Despite asking for further information on a proposed reduction in awning pitches at this site and not really getting an answer, it would seem that the the site plan has finally been updated (only took about 9 months!) and there are now a grand total of 10
awning pitches on this site.
Now here's the thing. We have booked for July, and because we wanted to be in the central area of the site, we booked an awning pitch. Also, we take a roll out canopy with us.
But the 10 awning pitches are round the edge of the site.
So, do we get a pitch as per the pitch allocation that existed at the time of booking - or do we get one as per the allocation at the time of arrival?
We know that a lot of people would probably like to take an awning with them. We have a booking on one of the, now rare, awning pitches but would be happy to give it up. Can we do that?
I emailed the sites contact team and their reply was:
"Unfortunately there is nothing we can do currently. If you can call the site direct when the new pitches are available, they may be able to swap you to a non awning pitch".
