Is the dog fully protected?

Hi,

We will be joined by our Daughter and her dog in Frejus in two weeks time.  She will visit the vet in The Netherlands and we have purchased a scalibor collar; is there anything else we can do to ensure she is fully protected against some of the nasty ticks
and sandflies she may encounter (the dog not the Daughter!)?
