What's wrong with this summer?

I keep hearing people moaning about the weather and saying that we've had a lousy summer.

Well, we must have been very fortunate, because we've had some lovely weather while we've been away and some really hot days at home.

We've seen very little rain at all this year......the garden is as dry as a bone. I spent the winter laying a new track for the caravan, to get it out of the garden, and so far have not been able to assess its success because we've had so little rain.

Are we living in our own little micro-climater here in Yorkshire?
