Pulling over for emergency services
You know the situation.....you are driving along and you hear the sound of a siren......then you see the blue flashing lights coming up in the distance behind you.
The car in front, in a panic, suddenly pulls over to the side, presumably thinking that they are making it easier for the emergency vehicle to get past. But in reality, because they didn't think before stopping, they are actually making the road narrower.
Plus, you obviously don't want to overtake the stationary car at this point, but he / she has left you nowhere to go - so you also have to pull over and contribute to the blockage.
Just think....it isn't necessary to immediately pull over as soon as you see the blue flashing lights.......wait till you get someone safe to do so.
I'd love to hear from a driver of emergency services what they think when they see this......
[could someone correct the heading please to Pulling.....]
