Recording from YouView

TalkTalk have just very kindly offered to send me a free YouView box (with a hard drive recorder and catch up TV).

Does anyone know whether it's possible to transfer recordings from that onto maybe an external hard-drive, for taking in the caravan?

Also, what would be the best way to replay them on the TV in the caravan?
