Taking our motorhome to France for the first time.

Hi. We are very comfortable touring and tent camping in France but next month will be the first time we will take our motorhome. Would people have any advice that is specific for motorhomes and France? I've read many of the posts on here and have found lots
of them really helpful. However, I keep hearing about 'reverse polarity' and would in particular welcome advice from people's experience about what this means in practice and how to deal with it. Thanks.
