St Malo help please

Hi. We are travelling to southern Brittany next week via St Malo. We would like to stop for breakfast in St Malo after leaving the ferry. Does anyone have any experience of St Malo? Where is the best place to stop with the van? We are worried about
where to park as the streets look quite narrow. What would you recommend? Should we stop a bit further on? It would be nice to start our holiday with breakfast overlooking the sea but not sure if this is possible. Any help gratefully received.
