Why learn to reverse

Travelling through the beautiful Peak District today by bus, we met an articulated truck on a narrow stretch of road. This road provides access to a couple of cl's. In order to pass, the bus would have needed to reverse a 100 yds or so, however some 30 yds
behind the truck was a farm entrance. Without hesitation the truck driver selected reverse and proficiently moved his 40 ft trailer out of the way. If this had been you, or had indeed been following the truck, could you have coped. If your answer is "NO" then
