Purchasing red wine in Calais

Hi, can anyone advise on the best place to buy red wine in or near Calais. Looking to pay £3/£4 per bottle. Also are there any restrictions on the quantity one can bring back to the UK? Would like ideally to bring back about 6 cases (36 bottles). Is there
any grief from the migrants returning to the port, intend going by ferry. Thanks in anticipation.

Both Auchan and Carreffour (Cite de Europe) have a wide range, from the cheap and cheerful up to some very expensive bottles.

No, you won't have any problems at all with 36 bottles. Customs may well stop you (as with anyone) but that quantity is not a problem (certainly far less than we tend to bring back Wink)

We have never had problems with migrants but always travel during the day. I wouldn't use the Calais port at night.
