CL's for children?

Hello All,

This is my first post, so here goes!

I'm yet to get a caravan, but are considering it seriously.

By August my wife and I should be the proud parents of 5 children (twins expected soon!).  We enjoy peace and quiet by the evening as having a large brood makes for an energetic day.

Our ideal would be to find a small quiet site in Lincolnshire (close to home) with space for children to be 'exercised' by which I mean space to run around and in my three boy's case play football. But equally one where people are not making noise (eg playing
music, sat out drinking) after say 10:30pm. I had hoped that CL's may provide this but reading some posts here have given me second thoughts.

We would not enjoy big sites with 'family entertainment' as our kids prefer to visit wide open spaces or the beach.  We do not want site bars or pubs as they can lead to night time noise.  We are generally all tucked up in bed by 10:00pm.

The football aspect clearly is a problem for many caravanners and I can fully understand the issue of damage.  I had hoped that many CL's would be aimed at families and hence would have a 'games field' or similar, but if so far I've not seen any listed.

So in summary am I barking up the wrong tree with caravaning and CL's for my clan?  Or are there the sites with space for games and running about by day, but nice and quiet by night?

Thanks all

Rob

PS dark skies would be a bonus for me as I enjoy stargazing!
