From what I recall, the Boost function just gives priority to the water over the heating but the temperature is the same. We never found it useful.

But what if you don't want the heating on, only hot water relatively quickly?

You just set the thermostat to a low temp i.e lower than the ambient

According to the manual it raises the temperature from 50 to 65c and runs for 30 minutes. I think it effectively switches the heating off for that time as well though.

Must be an express model, or a newer verion, as our's is on for 30 mins before switching off.

According to our manual it boosts the water temperature by  15 degrees C  for  30  minutes, and turns off the CH while doing so.

Using gas it will heat more quickly, both fuels can be used together, but the system will automatically use electricity first if available and only add in the gas when necessary.

Ours is the 3010 boiler from 2008
