Sustenpass/Furkapass?

What are these like for a motorhome to get to the St. Gotthard from Interlaken? or do we chicken out and go via m'way Luzern/Altdorf.  we've done Simplon towing a caravan previously, is it similar?  OH has good nerves (he'll be driving) but I'm not sure
about mine
