Ebay or Gumtree

Since changing over to a motorhome I have some caravan bits that I would like rid of. I was wondering what people think of the two option mentioned. I have used ebay in the past but it seems a bit of a lottery on whether you get a reasonable price. I notice on Gumtree (which I have not used) you set a price and wait for the replies. Any advice/experience would be welcome.
