UK TV in France

Hi there can anyone tell me if the snipe satellite receiver is any good to get uk TV in France, we spent 12 wks there in spring this year and really missed the uk news. We want to return next year and were hoping to purchase the snipe if it might work
. A big dish is no good to us in the caravan because of the bulk and weight .. Failing this would a digital radio pick up British stations, our caravan radio could only find French stations last year. We did use the internet as and when we could but this
wasnt ideal as wifi was only available spasmodically as we moved sites quite a few times??
