Removing scratches from plastic windows

During the Summer I cleverly managed to scratch the curved skylight above the front windows of our Coachman Pastiche whilst struggling to remove baked-on seagul poo which had stuck to the window like, well, concrete, whilst the 'van was in storage. Any ideas
on the best way to 'polish' the scratches out without making it worse? Thanks!!
