Route to la Croix Valmer

Planning our route to La Croix Valmer in a few weeks and wondering which route those who do the trip often use? Via Michelin, with a caravan selected, is suggesting the A8 and then D588, which looks a little scarey to me. Or, the A50 and D98 requiring a
short dog leg back on the D559. Last year we used the D25 to Ste Maxime, from the A8 but that seemed a long way round and was especially tedious on the return journey. Thanks in anticipation!
