My first caravan holiday

I've been looking through some old photos and found these. I think the year was about 1959. We had just bought a car (very old sit up and beg Ford Anglia) and couldn't afford a "proper" holiday. So a friend of my uncle's lent us his caravan,ready set up for us, at Brighouse Bay (near Kirkcudbright). I don't think my mother ever "roughed it" again.
As you see, there were no onbourd facilities (water carrier outside and toilet tent) and no site facilities.
