Avacado

Having seen and heard people raving about it on TV, for the first time ever in my life, I have just eaten Avacado.

Disgustingly tasteless rubbish, or was I suppose to sprinkle something on it, which would only taste of whatever I added and mask the creamy nonentity.

Did you just eat it by itself?

I like to mash it into tasty, home-made guacamole, or include it in a non-standard caprese salad of tomato, mozarella, fresh torn basil and olive oil.

Perhaps you never will like it.

I hate porridge and sticky toffee pudding. Surprised

Yes, just spooned it out, yuk! Perhaps I should have added something to give it taste.

It was only a try out after hearing of its merits.

I hate porridge and sticky toffee pudding.

Not the best of combinations I would say, but never ever thought to try it.

Maybe it's like marmite, (love that as well). Love avacardo, just on its own, it has to be ripe though.

Dave, I am with you, hate them. Tasteless to me, and awful consistency. My sister however, loves them!Happy

Check out the fat content as well, seriously high, although some of it is the "right kind" of fat!

We love them. We also have them stuffed with prawn cocktail but also just slice them and serve them as part of a salad. In fact we've got this nifty little tool that slices them and removes them from their skins at the same time

We use a melon baller to add bits of avocado to a salad that we've thrown anything else we can think off on

Definately a "marmite" sort of thing - I personally love it, but my OH can't stand it!
