Slide in Slide out steps

Mods, it's meant for Caravans only but if you decide to move it into 'Parts' I won't get grumpy 
Probably been discussed before but can't find anything other than for Motorhomes.
Has anyone fitted retractable steps to their caravan, and do they bolt to the chassis or to the floor. Also are they practical with being one step.
