Do you tow with Citroen C4 Picasso

I wish to change my car and have been told that a C4 Picasso 1.6 HDI would tow better than a 2.00 HDI semi auto.Please does anyone have experience of  towing with either? I tow 1300 mtplm .Any help would be appreciated.Thank you
