Two quiet sites in Germany

For those of you who are planning your route to Croatia, eastern Italy or Austria next year I can recommend  the following two sites on route (both are in the CC European sites book). Living in the sticks in rural Cumbria we are always concious of noise
at night on campsites and these two sites are particularly quiet. The first is the site at Staubing (Camping Staubing) between Reggensburg and Passau. The site is excellent (pitches in a similar layout to our CC site pitches) and the small town, a short walk
or cycle away, has some wonderful shops, restaurants and market. Don't be put off by the description in the CC sites book re. the nearby stadium its a very low key afair more like a sports field. The second site is Campingplatz am Waldbad just outside the
small town of Colditz (the famous one) in Saxony. The site is the most peaceful site we have ever been on! Its a 15 minute cycle ride into the delightful town of Colditz where a tour of the castle is a must. The Saxony circular cycle route (Luther Weg) runs
past the site and gives access to many other attractions in the surrounding villages. The circular Luther Weg cycle route is worth a holiday on its own.
