Hi all,

After a fifteen year break from caravaning I decided to give it another go but this time with a much smaller caravan and no kids! We have our first run out this week for three nights at The Howard, Rosedale Abbey, North Yorkshire. We rented a cottage their
when the kids were small and loved the village and surrounding area. It's an ideal re-introduction being just over an hour or so from where we live. Really excited and looking forward to the adventure and hope to meet some of you on our future travels!

Cheers!

Gygafo

Welcome back to caravanning, once it's in you you can't shake it off for ever, Rosedale is a beautiful area, especially if you like walking, brings back many happy memories just thinking of it,

Hi Gygafo and welcome back to caravanning and, more specifically, to Club Together.

You've certainly chosen a great place to make a start.

Hi JillwithaJay, and everyone else for the warm welcome. We have just returned from our trial run to The Howard, Rosedale Abbey and it did not disapoint us one bit, plenty of fond memories! The food in the pub was wonderfull and very well priced. However,
the wardens at the Howard are two of the nicest people I have met in a long, long time. It's absolutely fantastic to be back caravaning and in The Caravan Club!

    Cheers!

    Nigel.

Thanks Jill, I'm just planning our next long weekend away and looking forward to trying our new porch awning rather than the full awning. I've also got to grips with the nose weight of this caravan which now makes towing a dream... Absolutely loving it!!!

Cheers Malcolm, I'ts great to be a club member and part of the club together community. We can't wait to get away agin for a few days in a week or so. Our (new to us) van is 13 years old but after a few weeks of hard graft it looks like it's just come out of the showroom. I still have a few jobs to do on her (the caravan, not the wife) but they can wait until winter when I plan on have the van re-upholsterd, repairing a small section of spongy floor and then new carpet and mats. New porch awning and side jack arriving tomorrow too! Roll on the weekend for another round of spit and polish.

    Cheers
    Nigel.

Staples are only useful if you are taking office work with you.
