Spanish Winter Booking Dilemma
My wife and I are hoping to take a 10 week trip to Spain from mid January 2016 and plan to stay on the Med coast to the south of Valencia. We are taking our 8m MH with a Safari Room which we think will be useful as we are taking our small dog with us and
expect to stay for 10-14 days at each location, once we get to Valenciana.
I have been reading CT regularly to get a flavour of other snowbirds' experiences but have yet to find a site which meets all our needs : flat, not too large, within walking distance of an interesting town, a supermarket and a couple of restaurants or
so. We're not bothered about the facilities as we use the ones in our van. We don't mind a big site but the one thing we definitely don't want is a small pitch hemmed in by our neighbours, something which seems all too common with many of the all year sites.
Normally we don't bother to book in advance when we are touring but, with the increase in the popularity of long-term stays in Spain, we feel it would be wise to book at least a couple of sites to ensure we can get what we want.
Is that a reasonable approach and can anyone suggest a site that meets our needs ?
Thanks in anticipation. Jim
