    I don’t think the UK caravan industry needs a massive amount of new investment to enable them to produce a reliable product. Many of the 25 faults on my last caravan were due to slipshod workmanship. Such things as inaccurate drilling of holes and inserting
    screws.  It doesn’t need greater investment, it just needs more care and pride in a job done correctly. There must be something seriously wrong with the training and attitudes of the management and workforce. Encourage every member of the construction teams
    to take a pride in their work and to take responsibility for the type of quality that says right first time, every time. I bought a bicycle many years ago that had a label saying “Hand made” and was signed by the maker. It gave both accountability and pride
    in the job. Like the Wickes advert ,”It’s got our name on it. Attitudes need to change from the CEO downwards
