allowances you can take into Coatia .

My husband and I Shall be taking a trip to Croatia at the end of April, and whilst reading through a pocket guide it mentions that you can take into the country 2 litres of wine plus 1 litre of spirits ,as we are planning to stop over in France for a couple of nights on the way to fill up with our favorite red wine  (well you have to dont you ), would this be not a good idea ? dont think we could cope without it !!!anyone have any advice please?
