Payload

Hi there.

We are relatively new to caravaning although we did dable many years ago.  We have just bought a new Clubman SB which has a lower payload than our older 'van (155kg).  Additionally, it's bigger and therefore nearer the limit of our tow vehicle but still
safely within the limits.  Now, all the stuff had to be taken out the old 'van ready for the changeover so I thought I would weigh it all accurately to make sure it's within the 155kg.  We haven't accumulated any unecessary stuff and in my opinoin travel light
but horror of horrors the total is 0.7kg short of 200kg and we haven't included any clothes or groceries etc.

Obviously we need to put some stuff in the car to get it right but how many people are unknowingly pulling overladen 'vans.  We were recently on a site when all the half termers were arriving complete with kids bikes, toys and goodness knows what.  Do they
know the weight of all their possessions?

So, is it just me or do others have weight problems?
