ELDDIS water inlet problem

I have an  ELDDIS SUNSEEKER 120 (2010) Which has a Whale auto fill water system.  last September I found that no water was being sent into the van. Upon inspection of the 'motor' (later described as the inlet valve) it was hot so I disconnected it and a
kind person did a DIY job to get water in. My local repairer replaced the inlet valve. I've just had my first holiday in the 'van and I've had the same problem -no water coming in. I'm hoping it's not something I'm not doing correctly(I was told I don't need
to 'run' the pump while filling with water). Can any one advise what might be the problem please?
