Shortage of Gas?

Well, here we are in late August and if I am correct there  has not been one story about a couple or family being gassed and robbed whilst abroad. Either the perpetrators can no longer source this mysterious substance or the tales have finally run their
course. Having said that someone will respond with a story relating to someone twice removed who knows someone who this happened to. What will we do without all the angst and worry?

    I met a man in the pub who's uncles sons cousin knew a caravaner who heard someone had met someone on the beach !!!!! what was the question ?

    Never met anyone who this had happened to BUT........

    Some years ago a friend was given a rape alarm, it was a very small cylinder of compressed gas which emitted an ear splitting noise when activated. He decided that it would be wasteful not to use it so hit on the idea of connecting the device by a short piece of line to the van door so that if anyone should try and open the door, to insert the mysterious sleeping gas, the alarm would sound.

    The device was put into use whilst on site en route to the ferry. In the middle of the night there was an almighty noise as the device activated, the noise startled their dog which, in a panic, leapt onto the bed. The dog landed on his wife and she awoke, winded, and started to have an asthma attack!

    He has now given up vanning now after a bad experience in France but that's another story...........!!

    The following was reported on another forum.

    "I though it rubbish but recently met three people who knew four people who know a case of a whole rally field of motorhomes knocked out by gas and all the occupants raped then robbed, men and woman. There's equality for you. Some will never recover,
    some say the MH full of Nuns recovered well and go camping there every week now."

    True or not lets not forget if it did happen to any of us  you would not be making a  mockery of it . And i bet this site would be hot with posts .. So lets  be sensible .

    Write your comments here...The  whole point is that there is no evidence  whatsoever that this urban myth has ever taken place hence the concept of "mockery" cannot exist. You allude to that yourself by writing "true or not". 

    Now, maybe I need a sense of humour bypass.
