Boycott Calais?

Leaving aside the politics behind why Calais is becoming a battleground, should we take matters into our own hands and simply not book any more Calais crossings (or the tunnel) until the issues are finally sorted out?

Usually a major loss of profits encourages all involved (including governments) to resolve matters.

It's the lorry drivers I feel so sorry for. Owner drivers often have every penny they have invested in their lorries and then to be faced with intimidation, violence and damage to their vehicles is just not acceptable.
