Truma Combi bolier - how do I get to the fuse
Hi. Our Truma Combi bolier (2years old) has been working fine but no longer works on electric. It is working fine on gas. The control panel is throwing out an error message 45 which indicates that the 230v is not working. We have tried the overheating protection
override reset to no use. I have spoken to both our service people and Truma and they have suggested it might be the fuse. I have a replacement fuse and managed to unscrew the top part of the casing but couldn't get the case off. I have since discovered that
there are 2 more screws at the bottom. Has anyone managed to change the fuse and how difficult is it to take the bottom 2 screws out? I plan to have a go this weekend but failing that will have to call out an engineer. Thanks for any advise.

if it the small 3A fuse that has gone, then you do not need to undo any screws to change it.
on the top of the unit is a rectangular piece of plastic, a cover for the PCB and fuse. this is around 7" long.....
it can be a bit of a pig to remove but you have to slide the cover up and away after first pressing a couple of release tabs...
spinds complicated but if ypu look at it, youll see an arrow (from memory) showing you the direction to slide it.
once removed, youll be able to see the little fuse...
good luck.

There is not screws in the bottom of the 240V cover it is just compression clips.Once you have the top 2 screws out it just needs some jiggling to get it to release
Before you do this have a feel underneath the truma unit you might find something stashed in there making it more difficult to release the cover, coax it out it is just held in with black sticky adhesive similar to blue tack.
Use a mirror and torch to help view the fuse.
