GPS C0-Ordinates in the caravan book

Hi.  Can anyone help please?  We have a sat nav Snooper S2000 which allows us to put in the co-ordinates of a camp site in the following manner N532 99648 W 212 6664  (for example fictitious no's.)   We always have to enter to compass sign N/S/E/W before
the number.  In the Caravan book we only get the numbers and not the compass points.  This means we can only find your campsites abroad by their post codes and in France, this could be anywhere within a 5 mile radius of the site.  What am I doing wrong please?
